About

Welcome to the home of the Personal Development Carnival! The carnival is for bloggers who have written original articles on personal development, self-help, financial fitness, spiritual growth, or anything else that improves the quality of people’s lives.

In order to make the carnival more “roving friendly,” I’ve created this blog to post edition updates, host editions when there isn’t another host available, and to keep readers, submitters, and hosts updated on what’s happening with the carnival.

The carnival started back on May 16th, 2006, just before blog carnivals started to go as “mainstream” as they are today. Here’s the first post that I put up announcing the carnival. And here’s the first edition.

After a few editions, I decided that I didn’t want to do it anymore… and in stepped Nneka and Gleb, who kept me going by offering help with the carnival and starting to host editions themselves. If it wasn’t for them, I can honestly say that I’m not sure that the carnival would still be going on. Thank you, both.

If you would like to host an edition of the carnival (and get a link to your blog over on that nifty list of Carnival Hosts), be sure to contact me: ldrjomaat [at] gmail [dot] com. I’ll get a contact form up here soon.

This is great! I’ve never done a blog carnival, but yours will be my first.

In the second paragraph above, you should put the comma inside the quote marks. Like this:

    “roving friendly,”

Thank you for starting and hosting this carnival. I can’t wait to get started!

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for joining us… and thanks for the pointer on the typo. :)
